Mercedes SLK32amg 2002 after water (flood) damage. Service ask to replace SRS module. Just in case I have spare module from other car.

Can you try to repair module?

or

Can you erase (blank to factory) module from another car so service can reprogram it to my car?

or

Can you clone my module (vin) to another module?

Thanks!

If the vehicle was in flood/water damage it is best to have the airbag control module replaced. Sometimes if it is freshwater damage then the module can still be okay, but not always. For saltwater damage, it is best to replace it, because it may work for a small period of time and then fail later.

If the module has lost communication then it will need to be replaced.
We can only clear crash history and cannot repair these modules. We also do not stock this part.

I apologize for the inconvenience!

Hello.

SLK32 2002 Airbag module. Freshwater damage. After cleaning it with 99% alcohol module start working again, communication no problem, everything seems ok but old errors still present in memory and I can't reset them with my SDS Diagnosis notebook.

Can you reset this module? Price?

Thanks!

I don't write codes down, but to my memory codes are:

driver airbag, seat occupancy, module (3 identical codes on module), seat belts ETR. Total of almost 10 codes.

The problem is that I reconnect the battery when the module still suffer from fresh water and steering wheel and seats were disconnected. After I turn ignition driver seat belt ETR fired, pulling belt. So the module generates multiple error codes. Now after cleaning module and changing both seat belts (its SLK, 2 seater) and reconnects everything back module starts responding to diagnosis, passes all checks - everything working, but old memory codes present.

What do you think? Are codes resettable?
