I am changing driver air bag and have not seen this piece before. Does anyone know what this? The replacement air bag does not have it.

Looks like Volvo has made 3 stage air bags and not all their models have tripple (3 stage) air bags. So this 3rd pyro sensor is a bypass with around 2-3 OHMS to pretend that the sensor is there and so the air bag control module is satisfied and the airbag light turns off.

Clockspring does have 3 plugs thou and it plugs into that piece.
