Even after doing all the steps correctly the light still turns on and I get this code on the computer.

Thank you for reaching out. What's the vehicle year and model? Was the vehicle in an accident?
If the module is giving you internal issues and you have checked all the pins in the module to make sure none are bent or broken that might be causing the issue. Also you have tried several times to erase the code and it will not go away or comes right back. Check with your dealer there might be an update for the module for this issue. If not I would recommend getting a replacement module.
