Is it possible for the srs module to go bad if it's plugged in with a bad air bag still installed?

It could detect the bad airbag. Was the vehicle in an accident??

It very well could cause codes in your new module. Id replace those before putting in a new module. If your passenger side seatbelt is bad we can repair that for you.

Yes. Replaced steering wheel bag, clock spring, column, driver seatbelt, buckle and module before realizing knee bag and pass seatbelt was bad. Now codes won't clear after everything was replaced. Just wasn't sure if putting a new module in before everything was replaced would ruin the new module and continue to cause codes
