Do I need to disconnect my battery to remove the left rear seat belt on a 2016 Camry Hybrid?

To be safe always remove negative cable for 20 minutes anytime you unplug any seatbelt or airbag component

Yes it is best to disconnect the battery before installing/removing SRS components such as sensors, airbags, module, seat belts.

I'm not sure about a Camry but it is required on a Nissan. I would just to be safe
