I recently reached out to you with questions about my 2009 Civic Coupe that was in an accident in which the passenger side curtain airbag deployed, specifically the SRS module. The answers I received were incredibly helpful, and now I have more questions to ask regarding my seat belt pretensioner.
According to the engine codes, the driver's side tensioner was deployed (I was the only passenger in the vehicle), and from what I can tell, the vehicle uses single-stage pretensioners. Upon removing the buckle, it did not appear as though the buckle tensioner had deployed. Should I order repairs for both regardless, or will I only need to order a single stage seat belt pretensioner repair?
You can send both, however, if one of the parts does not need repair then the technician will charge you a $39.99 bench test fee to test the part. I can't tell you if the parts need to be repaired just by looking at the pictures, you can also have them tested by a local mechanic before sending them in.
Thank you!
