I’d like to send in my seatbelt for repair (tensioner ratchet is not letting go, also I accidentally let a spring loose when I was trying to figure out how to fix it myself and I can’t figure immediately how to retension it), but I read that having the seat belt disconnected and starting the car can cause some issues (2007 Volvo). Do you know if I would be able to start and drive the car without issue with the belt disconnected; more importantly, that I would be able to reconnect it normally once I received the belt back?
You will be ok to drive the vehicle. We do not recommend it since it is not safe. You will not have any issues with reinstalment.
You will also need the airbag module to be reset.
I hope this helps, please reach back out if you have any questions.
