not reset the module yet

amy f

I just wanted to confirm that replacing the seatbelts that I just had myairbags to repair is not going to cause any issue since I have not replaced the two deployed airbags yet. I have also not reset the module yet. I had the steering wheel and knee air bags deploy on the drivers side when I wrecked my car on a racetrack. Can I replace the two airbags next and then send the module back to myairbags to have it reset? Also, do the impact sensors need to be replaced? I don't think they are physically damaged

Hello,
You will need to repair/replace the airbags and seatbelts before you install a module that has been reset.

Thank you!

I just had my seatbelts repaired by my airbags. Is it safe to install them now without replacing the airbags and resetting the module. I was under the impression the seatbelts would work once repaired even if the airbags have not been replaced and the module reset. The seatbelts are in transit to me now and I wanted to install them next week. I do not plan to replace the airbags yet. I want to drive my car in autoX races in parking lots. I need a functioning seatbelt to do this.

Thanks,.
