I have a module that was positioned under the center console of the jeep and it performed as intended when it crashed in 2019
I have inspected the interior circuitry of the module and the board looks good with no signs of corrosion or shortage due to water damage, I have sent his module out to be reset but it was sent back stating it could not 'be reset safely'. From my inspection of the module there is no visible damage to the internals or connectors/capacitors/pins. It looks and performed as the factory intended with full airbag deployment. I am baffled! I have reached out to the other SRS reset entity for an explanation as to why it 'failed' and am still awaiting a response from them. Would it be worthwhile to send it to you for another attempt? I have enclosed photos of the module in question including part numbers, circuit board and connector. Any input would be highly appreciated, thank you in advance! Cheers
Normally if the module has been tampered with(opened up). We do not attempt a reset. Sorry to tell you that. I would recommend replacing the module.
