Is there a risk of plugging that reset module into the car?

Technical question. My car was involved in an accident front end collision. I had airbags.com reset the airbag control module. My question is is there a risk of plugging that reset module into the car and it reverting to accident status because of a missed airbag sensor?

No, if there still active components that needs to be repair/request the airbag light will remain on and once part is repair/replaced the code will go away.
Always ensure battery is disconnected while working on the safety frutares.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

And there is no chance of a newly replaced airbag just blowing?

Yes there is a chance that a newly installed airbag can deploy. If there is a wiring issue with the vehicle. Most good techs would check the connectors and the wiring before connecting to the airbag squib then hooking up the battery. This is normally not the case but it can happen in very unusual circumstances. When installing a reset module there is no chance for a module that has been installed properly and there are no other issues, will it command a deployment from a airbag.
