Is the SRS needing to be reset?

I had my 2018 and 2017 Cadillac XT5 SRS modules reset and airbag's replaced however it still shows a code B0017 0E on the 18. I swapped the driver's knee airbag from the 17 other Cadillac here. Now both are showing the same code? Scan of loop 13 shows .2 ohms and .4 ohms on the other. Same with bag disconnected? Reset codes every time. Still always the same code. Is the SRS needing to be reset again?
Thanks,

Have you tried swapping SRS modules to see if the code goes away as long as they are the same #PN

I have no more Mods to swap.
The new one is $295 and 2 day away.
I did a test with my SNAPON Solus. It shows .2 ohms on loop 13.
I disconnect the knee airbag, reconnected the battery then test loop 13 and it still showed .2 ohms with no bag.
(B0017 OE ) both loop resistance test.
That seems to be hard coded and won't reset. It re-enables the code within a second.
Any ideas?

I do believe there might be a issue with the module or the wiring. If the wiring is good I think you found the issue is coming from the module itself. The module is shorted internally showing a component there when it has been removed.

It shows the exact same response on both XT5s. One was removed while the battery was still connected.
Now it shows .4 ohms with and without the bag?
I know now the bag has a shorting bar when unplugged and when reconnected with the battery connected, it will see the bag loop as shorted.
What I don't know is the code reset is not clearing the shorted data and maybe hardcoded?
Will a Crash data reset clear this?
Otherwise, I hate to buy another new SRS mod as we just bought a new bag and it didn't help.

The only issue is if the actual module is shorted internally and you would not be able to erase the code no matter what. Ron did you check the wiring to make sure you don't have any cross-reference data from wire to wire when testing from the connector at the module back to the airbag in question.

I did check the wires to the bags. I pulled each conductor 1 at a time to see.
I also did a loop continuity resistance test at the Bag connector and it showed no continuity or resistance.
I would think it should not show if it is relay fired?
I just am at a loss to find the issue unless it hard codes?

I would like to confirm that plugging in an airbag while battery connected will hard code the SRS module? B0017 OE and reset returns the code. GM SRS #13590210.

SDM as GM call it should never be installed or plugged in unless the battery has been disconnected for at least 15 minutes.

I worked for GM for 10 years and I actually fried a module because I forgot to un-hook the battery. The GM SRS #13590210 is this a error report from GM.

That is the SRS part number.
I f,,d up on the hot-swap.
Now I know a new mod has to be programmed.
I hope a data reset will fix both cars.

I'm thinking they both will need to be flashed when they are replaced.
