Chevy scottsdale srs codes

I have not been in an accident. I purchased the vehicle 6-8 months ago with a salvage title, the carfax shows that it has a restored title. Currently the OBDII scanner I have is showing codes B0017, B0018, and B0051, as well as the air bag light illuminated on the dash cluster. I wanted to see if I send the module I have, will you be able to clear the light on the dash, and clear the codes?

hanks for the details! Yes, we can reset your airbag control module even if your vehicle hasn't been in an accident recently. However, we recommend that you first have the module scanned to understand the cause of the light and codes, as they could be related to a bad airbag, seat belt, or sensor. If those parts are still faulty, the airbag light may come back on after the reset.

When you send us your module, we will reset it, clear all crash codes, and turn off the airbag light on your dash. This will help ensure your vehicle's safety features are functioning correctly.

If you still have questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out. We're here to help!

Thank you for the clarification. Can you help me understand what you mean when you say have the module scanned? Is that something you do, or can that be done with a OBDII scanner that can be borrowed from a local auto parts store?

Great question! When I mention having the module scanned, I mean using an OBDII scanner to read the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the module. You can definitely do this with an OBDII scanner that you can borrow from a local auto parts store.

Just make sure the module is still installed in the vehicle when you scan it. If the module is removed from the vehicle, the scanner might display every possible code, making the reading unreliable.

I hope this helps clarify things! If you need any more guidance, feel free to ask.

I have looked at the codes via an OBDII scanner and the current codes are B0017, B0018, and B0051. Will these codes be cleared through your service?
