If the airbag control module is disconnected is any power supplied to the airbags such that the airbags can still deploy? Should a terminator be applied to the airbag electrical connectors (as was recommended many years ago, presumably because of a chance of a stray electrical pulse)?
Normally no power will go to a airbag without the module. There are certain cases that a module can be pulled out of a vehicle and the battery was reconnected and somewhere in the harness there is a power supply wire that powers something else up that shorts with a power supply wire to a airbag. This might cause a detonation of the affected airbag. Possible but not likely.
