The left side airbag was deployed because my wife slid on ice and went up on a curb and hit a pole and that made the airbag deploy that was the only one that deployed and she said it inflated like someone was blowing into it it was practically useless if she really needed it like if a car slammed into the side of her now I disconnected the three yellow plugs on the module because I want my airbags deactivated because if they end up going off in the front the car won't be able to run and my insurance will definitely total out the car because the book value is only $4,700 and we already asked if the airbags went off in the front they said they would total it out and we don't want that so my question is I'm not going to be repairing the left side airbag I already removed it and I plan on leaving the yellow plugs disconnected from the module now I do want the airbag light off the dashboard so I will be sending you the module now my question is will I have to plug it back in the three plugs that three yellow plugs so the airbag light turns off but once it turns off I plan on disconnecting the three plugs from the module to keep my airbags disabled we wear our seat belts all the time so I really don't care about the airbags and like I said if they deploy my car would be totaled and I love this car I put a lot of money into it but anyways I have it disconnected now and the car runs fine so will I have to connect the yellow plugs once I get it back from you the module so the airbag light turns off that's my question now I'm pretty sure the answer is yes I'm going to have to plug it back in at first but my second question once I unplug it after the light goes off will the light go back on because I'm unplugging it? And also will the lights stay off due to me not repairing the left side airbag? Because if I don't plan on replacing the left side airbag and I send you the module and the only way for the light to stay off is for me to replace the airbag or to keep the plugs the yellow plugs connected to the module then it's not worth it to me because like I said we wear seat belts and my car would be totaled out if those airbags deploy in the front and it's not worth it to me to replace the side airbag so my question is since I'm going to be not replacing the left side airbag and I plan on disconnecting the yellow plugs after connecting them to get the airbag light to remove be removed once I get the module back from you will the airbag light stay off since I'm keeping the module disconnected from the three connectors and not having the side airbag replaced? Will the lights stay off? And also my seat belt is completely all the way out it will not retract but I purchased a 7 in seat belt extender for$15 because right now it's just a little too tight when I'm driving and for my wife as well cuz I said all the way back and she has to sit closer to the steering wheel so it's even tighter on her how much is it to have the seat belt repaired by you and it is even worth it if I getting the 7-in extension because it's perfect and I like the fact that the seat belt stays locked at all times because there's been times where I've slammed on the brakes and the seat belt didn't lock up so now that it is locked up I kind of like it the only thing that sucks is that it doesn't retract so I have to pull it down myself or just leave it on the seat which is not really that big of a deal but if the price is right to fix the seat belt I'll do that so please let me know how much to fix the seat belt and to fix the module? But remember I'm only going to get the module fixed if the airbag light will remain off due to me not replacing the airbag and disconnecting the yellow plugs after the light goes off. I know I said a lot but I'm sure you understand everything I said and how I'm planning on doing this and I looked into Connecticut's admissions and a airbag light on the dashboard lit up has nothing to do with emissions and my car would pass with the airbag light being on
Your airbag module is connected to all of your airbags, sensors and seatbelts. If any of these parts need to be repaired or replaced then you will need to get that done before the module is reset. If you install a resetted module back into your vehicle without repairing/replacing these parts then those codes will show up again on your module, your airbag light will never go away and your airbag system won't work properly in the event of an accident.
Thank you!
