We normally normally deal with Chevrolets and this is the first Ford we’ve had in….this is the code we’re getting on a 2019 F150 that the passenger side and driver seat side airbags and both side curtains deployed have been deployed. We’re also getting the code where we have to send in the restraint control module. But I was just wondering what is this code for B 1404:1A? Do we have to send in the seat belt tensioner’s is well even thouDo we have to send in the seat belt tensioner’s as well even though the front airbags did not deploy? Also, what else do we need to send in? Please let me know. Thanks for your help

the driver seat airbag is deployed but not the driver steering wheel airbag…So are you referring to the drivers doing well airbag or were you referring to the driver seat airbag? Thank you

What the code is referring to is the airbag in the steering wheel.

The airbag and the clock spring in the steering wheel is fine…

I'm sure you have crash codes because of the accident. So if you want to send the module in for reset we can erase the crash codes so the module works as designed. If you have any issues with any of the seatbelts I would also send them in for repair.

The code B1404-1A Driver Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Resistance Below Threshold. Check the ohm resistance on the Driver airbag it should be between 2.3 to 2.7 ohms. The only time you should send the seatbelts in are if they have deployed or if the resistance is not between 2.3 to 2.7 ohms. If the driver AB is bad then you will need to replace it.
