I need your advice.
My 2017 F-150 trucks shows the yellow airbag icon in the dash. After consulting the dealership it was found that the rear belt buckle with inflatable belt creates this issue.
My question is: will this fault be erased in the restrain control module upon installing a new belt buckle ($236) or is it required to replace the RCM, too in order to clean the fault within the system?
Thanks for your professional feedback.
Do you have the actual DTC Code number? Also, was this vehicle involved in an accident?
If that is the only code in your RCM and the part is actually defective. Then after you replace the faulty part the code should go away.
Thanks for your feedback. This encourages me to invest lots of dollars for a new belt buckle.
Again, thanks for your professional feedback.
I just have the FORScan codes from the FORD dealership:
APIM: U024B
RCM: B141B
ACM U2101
No, my truck was not involved in an accident.
Just a permanent airbag icon in the dash alerted me.
