I have a 2017 Chevy Colorado crew cab and recently I’ve been having a service airbag warning come up on my dash. It’s only happens when the inside cab temperature gets above 90°. I do not have this issue in the morning when it’s cooler out. I am not sure what the issue is but it usually goes away if I turn the AC on the coldest setting and let it get cool inside the cab. Then I cancel the warning and eventually the light goes out and does not come back on. The vehicle was never wrecked and I take very good care of it. Is this going to be an issue that needs to be addressed with the module or do you think it could be somewhere else. Like I said, it just recently started happening and I’m at a loss.
When the airbag light comes on, see what code is coming up. Almost sounds like a heat issue with the module. Raise the vehicle and make sure the deflection shield is on over the transmission. If it is in-tack get the code and see what it is
