Hello, I have a code on my 2017 Audi s3 that pops up as: "B102254 Passenger occupant detection system control module- No calibration"
This car was in an accident and all necessary airbags were replaced and all codes erased except this one. I also heard that this is a recall on the same issue but apparently don't have a fix for it yet. Just wanted your guys advice on this maybe the passenger occupant airbag module just needs to be reset or maybe there is an actual hardware issues.
I talked with the dealership and they said there is a recall for this problem but there is no fix for it yet. I need to turn off the airbag ASAP since I have to pass state patrol. Would you guys be able to do the calibration
No a module reset will not fix the issue but if you get documentation about the recall and there is no repair for it yet. Certain state agencies will take that information and make a determination to pass or not. It is not your fault there is no fix that falls with the automobile manufacturer.
Check with your local Audi dealer to have your VIN# ready so they can pull up the information on your car to see if there is a recall on your model. If there is no recall and you are unable to calibrate the passenger seat sensor. Then you might be having a hardware issue.
