2015 Nissan altima that received water damage

I have a 2015 Nissan altima that received water damage. The airbag light is now on. Will the airbag reset service reset this or is there a deeper issue?

If the module has water damage then it will need to be replaced. We can only clear out the crash history and cannot repair these modules. I can check and see if we have a replacement, what is your part number?

Thank you!

They are VIN specific and we do not program them here so you would have to get it programmed by either a local mechanic or dealership.

Thank you!

I will have to pull the module and check to get part number. I wanted to inquire before I pulled. So if you had a part number, but since not programmed for my car I would have to get programmed at the dealership correct?

So if water damaged it would just make sense to purchase a new one and have programmed is that correct?
