2014 Chevrolet Sonic airbag codes/lights

We have a wrecked vehicle that was NOT displaying any airbag codes/lights (no airbags were deployed in the accident) However, the battery died after we obtained the vehicle for a few weeks and we replaced it. NOW, the airbag light is on and we have tried everything in our abilities to clear this code/light. My question is, can your airbag reset service clear this code? And why would the airbag light appear if the airbags were not deployed in the crash?

Please understand that every accident is unique, making it difficult to determine the specific reasons for the issue you're experiencing. However, if your vehicle was involved in an accident that triggered the seat belt deployment or airbag, a reset service might be beneficial for your module. If no Deployment at all then you may need to cconsider replacing the unit.

If the seat belts or airbags were deployed, then a reset service should help. However, if there was no deployment, you may want to consider replacement as the best option.
