I have a 2012 Ford Mustang in which that passenger side airbag light is always on.
The car has never been in an accident, but I replaced the passenger seat with on from a wrecked car. The passenger airbag light has been on since then.
The aibags were not deployed on the wrecked car, and I did not disconnect the battery when I installed the seat in my car.
Do you think my airbag computer can be reset?
Thank you,
Usually that is not the case. You wouldn't need a reset on it. Have you scanned the vehicle with a diagnostic scanner to see what codes you are receiving?
If you could provide us with the code(s), we can help you pinpoint the problem and what needs to get done to fix the issue.
Let me know.
Thank you!
No need to send in for a reset. Sound like the vehicle has an OCS issue, not an RCM issue.
No problem.
I have never seen an error code displayed. I have "reset" the srs using my obdll scanner, but the light comes right back upon starting the car.
Thanks for the advice. I'll look into the ocs.
