2010 kia soul airbag module

Buddy

My airbag module in my 2010 kia soul failed and caused the canbus communication lines to malfunction. This led to a bunch of drivability issues (TCU and ECU couldn't communicate making weird shifts)

I found a used, but airbag deployed module in a scrap yard and when I plug it in, the canbus communication works properly and it fixed all the other issues. It doesn't put out any VIN related codes, just the "airbag deployed" permanent codes and the airbag light is on.

Would you be able to do a reset on the unit and would it make my airbag system work?
Would I need to take it to a dealer to get reprogrammed?

Thanks for your time

These parts are VIN specific, you would need to take it to a dealer first and have them program it to your VIN.
Once the module is programmed, you can scan it to see if it has crash history. We can only clear crash history and cannot program it.

Thank you!
