2008 Chevy HHR, SRS error code B0081-71

i'm getting an error message saying" Passenger presence module invalid data with the error code B0081-71.
I have checked everything under the passenger seat and everything appears ok. The tube coming out of the seat cushion appears to be liquid filled without and bubbles. No leaks or corrosion anywhere.
What do you sugguest I do next?
Thanks,

If your vehicle was in a crash then we can reset the codes in the airbag module, and it also sounds like you may need to have the seatbelt serviced too. Is the belt locked or really loose?

I found this article that may be helpful about the code you sent me, but i also suggest sending in your module if it was in an accident. Could still have hard codes in there.

The car was in a minor accident however the airbags did not deploy. The damage was on the driver's side front. The seatbelt seems to work the way it should. It is not loose and retracts properly and Locks up if pulled sharply, The passenger seat is seldom used.
The SRS dash light sometimes stays out occasionally when the sar is started. It does not come on while driving. If you sit in the passenger seat when the SRS trouble light is out, the airbag on the passenger side still says it's still disabled.
The indicator on the dash for the passenger side air bag, always indicates it is off. It doesn't matter if the SRS airbag trouble light is on or not.
Now that I think about it, I did not have this issue before the accident. It doesn't really seem related, could it?
Did this help?
Thanks again
