A deer hit my driver side door and deployed the driver side curtain airbag and driver seat SIPS airbag (which is inside the driver seat, facing the window).
I want to use your service to reset my SRS module and seatbelts.
HOWEVER, my airbags would need to be replaced in a garage that is a long drive away.
My car starts up and drives fine right now, but I would rather not drive it without functioning seatbelts.
Questions:
Will the seatbelts lock up if I do not replace the airbags?
Will the SRS module require resetting again by the garage or your company after I take it in to get new airbags put in?
We recommend resetting the module and getting the seatbelts and airbags fixed/replaced around the same time. That's not to say that the module will be bad again if you install it after the reset and the airbag is bad or the seat belt is faulty. You will just have a light on saying those parts need to be replaced, and until they do, that light will stay on.
