I have a 2007 New Beetle. I have a SRS code of 01739-004. It says no signal/communication with sensor. The car had a small accident it the front end where the sensor is located. No airbags were set off there was just plastic bumper damage. I have taken off the front bumper and swapped the left and right sensor to see if the sensor was bad. The code stayed after clearing it. I ohm checked the wires to the module, they check out good. Does the module need a full reset? Could that be the problem with clearing the code? Please let me know

If I send the module in to reset it the code will be cleared? I just want to know that is the issue with it.

Yes the crash code will be cleared. But if you got bad sensor, you will see the code till you fix that issue if all airbag components are good your srs light will be turned of after module installation.
