I have a 2007 Cadillac CTS I just purchased and the air bag light is on…the vehicle does not have the original stock radio in it and as far as I know was not in an accident….I connected my scanner to it and it originally showed that the passenger pretensioner had an open loop and the passenger presence sensor was bad…I changed both and the light went off…however the light is back on now and these codes came up on my scanner and can not be erased… can someone help me get rid of these codes so the light will go off?

Sounds like you need to replace the module. If you have tested everything and all is working as designed except for the codes and the airbag light on.

The codes I see are 2036, 3031, 1053 and 3017

They are not crash codes. They are Internal Electronic Performance (Internal failure) codes.

Correct, they are not regular codes what do they mean and why can’t they be erased?
