I have a 2005 Lincoln LS with the airbag light on and no accident. 3 different shops can't even see the RCM when they plug into the car. If something is fried inside the module, is that something you can repair?

It sounds like it has lost communication and its time to replace it. We can only clear crash history caused by an accident and cannot repair these modules.

These modules are VIN specific and will need to be programmed to your VIN. You can contact either a local mechanic or a dealer to see if they are able to program a used module before you decide to go that route.

Thank you. If I replace the module will it need to be programmed to the car or will it function properly out of the box? I don’t think new parts are available so I would probably have to go the e-bay route
