I have a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis that has a fault code of 22 which means that it either has a safing sensor shorted to battery voltage I've had this car checked also it could be a faulty RCM I was wondering if you guys could give me some technical information on this and I'd like to purchase a unit from you or get mine repaired
Sorry we do not repair modules, just erase crash codes and check for communication. More than likely a faulty RCM, sorry we no longer sell modules.
Not sure if that is accurate. You can place the order, but I'm not sure who handles that part of getting the order shipped out if we have it in stock.
You said you have code 22 for your Ford product. Most SRS codes begin with B. Like B0001 and so on. Get me the standard SRS code that starts with a B and I will see if I can help you. I'm an ASE tech who has been in the business for 40 years.
Saving sensor (impact sensor) no it is not integrated into the RCM. But if the module is still giving you the code and you know all the wiring and the component is good then you do have an internal fault with the module. Best to replace the module.
No problem.
Your website chose one right now if I could purchase one for $29.95 it shows the number of the one I need
Okay thank you I do have one request is the saving sensor integrated in with the RCM module on this vehicle this is what I'm reading I believe but I've seen conflicting stories could you please help me with this question thank you I appreciate your time
When it does the flashing on the dashboard it has a 22 code which I brought it in to a service center and he hooked on a Snap-On code reader and it read a 22 + 2 other numbers and I don't remember what it said his explanation was it either had a faulty connectors which I checked or a fault on RCM module I owned all the wires from the seat in each connector all the way up to the RCM module and all the wires on correctly with no shorts and no brakes in the wires I have the electrical work my whole life and electronic work so I understand how to use a meter and how to check those items I use a fluke ohm meter to test everything that I had
My phone changed my word I ohmed out the circuit
That was my thought to change the module cuz I'm down to that I will be ordering one from you guys soon
