I have a SDM for a 2003 GMC Yukon p/n 15192444 that I believe triggered the "service airbag message" (NOTE: I have owned the vehicle since new and it has never been in an accident). I initially replaced the sensor hoping this cheap & easy repair would correct the issue. After I determined the sensor was not the solution, the vehicle was connected to a Bosch OBD enhanced tool and it was determined to be the SDM. I took the risk of purchasing a used module (P/N15181625) only to learned later that SDM modules are VIN specific. When the replacement module was plugged in to my truck, not only did in not solve my "service airbag message" (no surprise to you) it also caused my Transfer Case dash controls to become inoperative... bummer! Ok, here's my question. Does it make sense to send my original SDM to you to be Reset? Would you expect the 4wd controls to work again? Can i send you the replacement SDM along with my VIN and have it programmed?
Sounds like you need to get your airbags checked. These parts can go bad over time, it could be that the OEMS are off in your airbags and they need to be repaired or replaced.
We can only clear crash history caused by an accident and cannot repair or reprogram these modules.
If there is nothing wrong with your airbags then your airbag module will need to be replaced. You will have to contact a dealer to check if they can re-program your new module to your VIN, Not sure about the 4wd controls.
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
