I have a 2003 350z. The rack and pinion was recently replaced. The steering wheel was turned too many times to the left. Long story short it ripped the airbag wires as they got tangled too much and stretched. Now I have a flashing airbag light. The car was in no accident. I fear if I were to reconnect the wires it would blow the airbags right? What can I do in this situation?
You are going to replace the clock spring? After you repair all the wires correctly you should have no issue. Before I would attempt to do all the necessary repairs, I would make sure the battery cables are disconnected. Feel free to reply.
No problem.
That would be it. Thank you! I was worried about it being a much more lengthier/expensive process
